Founded in 2006, the Multimedia Festival BergBuchBrig, happens each year at the beginning of November in the little alpine city Brig-Glis. The manifestation is dedicated to life and leisure in mountain regions. During five days, the festival presents several exhibitions and a programme of fifty hours with the latest cultural productions strongly linked with mountains: books (literature, sciences and essays), films (documentaries and short fictions), photography, stage and music. The presentations are in various languages: German, French, Italian and English.

A very important element of BergBuchBrig is the exhibition MontagnaLibri from the Trento Filmfestival. It represents an annual international publishing showcase where it is possible to find all the most recent books dedicated to the mountains, exploration, adventure, care for the environment, and the cultures of the world’s highlands in general. It is an evocativejourney through “mountains of books” for the public coming to Trento, Bolzano and Brig.
